I love dogs

         

Everywhere I look at the moment there seems to be care free dogs having a good time in the sunshine. Dogs relaxing in the cafe where I work while their owners whirl away the morning over a flat white. Dogs enjoying some fresh air,  hanging out of  a car window or chilling in the back of a ute. This little dog was waiting outside the supermarket, it made me smile anyway!

Not long now...

As well as doing some photography for the film festival I have been helping out with the promotion side of things too. I have spent the last 2 days trawling the restaurants, shops, bars and cafes of Byron putting up posters. 

          

Just 3 weeks until the festival which will be showing a range of films, including documentaries, features, shorts, animations, experimental film , music videos and surf films.

Big waves and stormy skies

Ever since I brought my board the bay has been like a lake, a haven for swimmers or really windy and a play ground for kite surfers. However at last there seems to be some swell and some big waves. 

Along with the waves has come some crazy tropical weather, so far 3 days of torrential rain! I always imagined Australia to be sunny blue cloudless skies but it is not so. However I do love a good thunderstorm and the dramatic skies have been spectacular.

A world away from winter

Well I am a long way from snow and mountains at the moment but cant help thinking about my friends who are working out in Meribel again this season. I am clearly in need of a snow fix, particularly as I hear the conditions have been amazing so far this season.
