I have had the most lovely first weekend on The North Island although it felt more like I was in England than New Zealand. Saturday was spent at the races and Sunday drinking pimms and playing croquet on the lawn!
Well after a fantastic 6 months in Australia, I finally made it over the water to New Zealand. First stop Napier. This is the view from Te Mata Peak, you might just be able to make out the sleeping giant in the distance.
Well Western Australia was every bit as beautiful as I had imagined but sadly my time there has been and gone. Now its time for the next part of the adventure, a road trip along the south coast from Adelaide to Melbourne...
Whilst travelling the vast open roads of Western Australia I noticed the characterful post boxes of residents who live in the outback. Each post box seemed to have its own identity, created from a random object such as old ice cream tub, a biscuit tin or even a disused diving canister! I thought they were pretty cool anyway.
