Having been to lots of weddings this year, I have realised it is becoming harder to think of original ideas for decorations, table plans etc. However I can safely say that I have never been to a wedding where the tables have been named after breeds of dogs.....brilliant!  Each table had its own hand knitted dog which went to auction after the meal to raise money for charity.

August in Whitstable....all things purple

This week I have been down to Whitstable for the first of twelve shoots I am doing over the coming year. The photographs will be used in a book about seasonal fruits from the garden, with words from gardener and writer Francine Raymond.

August is about all things purple....damsons, plums, sweet peas and lavender.
